SOT® Methods
Sacro Occipital Technic (SOT® Methods)
Sacro Occipital Technic (SOT® Methods) takes a comprehensive approach to diagnose and treat neurological, structural, and functional interferences, thereby restoring the body’s innate healing abilities. This method integrates biomechanics, nutrition, functional neurology, soft tissue reflexes, and chiropractic Craniopathy.
Health restoration and maintenance are achieved through specialized procedures that address functional neurology, biomechanics, nutrition, soft tissue techniques, and the craniosacral respiratory mechanism. SOT® aims to optimize healing for the spine, pelvis, cranium, organs, extremities, nervous system, brain, and muscles.
These techniques strive to enhance neurological integrity and the integrated function of organ structures and neurological mechanisms, promoting overall well-being. By harmonizing the body’s systems, SOT® supports improved health and function.
Faster Healing Through a Comprehensive Approach
The Category System of Patient Analysis refers to the primary system dysfunctions recognized by Dr. M.B. DeJarnette as most common all-inclusive on patients seen in the chiropractor’s office.
The category system of patient analysis offers the practitioner a logical, balanced approach to patient care, leading you to the proper treatment approach. The Sacro Occipital Technic (SOT® Methods) indicators enable you to monitor your effectiveness and tell you when to change your approach.
Category I – This category deals with the primary respiratory mechanism of the body involving the sacrum and occiput. It addresses dysfunctions in the sacroiliac joint and cranial structures that affect the body’s overall stability and function including visceral dysfunction.
Category II – This category is concerned with weight-bearing issues and instability in the sacroiliac joints due to ligament laxity or sprain. It often involves conditions where the sacroiliac joint is hypermobile or unstable.
Category III – This category targets lumbar disc problems and associated sciatic nerve pain. It involves addressing lower back conditions that affect the lumbar spine and surrounding structures.
All Categories will include treatment of the rest of the spine and extremities relative to the underlying causes of those type of pains.
Craniopathy
This is the subtle, rhythmic movement of the central nervous system, including the brain and spinal cord, which influences the cranial bones and the circulation of cerebrospinal fluid. SOT® Methods treatment full balances the CSRM by addressing all of the systems that influence its function.
Chiropractic Manipulative Reflex Technique (CMRT)
SOT® Methods visceral techniques allow you to understand and treat your patient for a full-body point of view, leaving no stone unturned. Chiropractic Manipulative Reflex Technique (CMRT) is an organized and effective approach to dealing with the viscero-somatic reflexes that are present in so many patients and that are a common cause of chronic subluxation.
